For the past few years, I have been a docent at the Montclair Museum of Art. A docent is really just a fancy way of saying art educator. We lead tours of the museum for school groups, senior citizens, family groups and for any one that arranges for a tour. The docents are people of all ages and backgrounds who volunteer their time. As docents we received training in leading tours and are always learning new things about the exhibits at the museum. We meet twice a month as a group. It really brings me joy to share my love of art and museums with one and all. To find out about current exhibitions and free tours go to the museum’s website. I hope to see you at MAM !
